Follow-up question: Why do media player apps display differently via Screen Share? VLC fills the entire window with only the video, MPC-HD/BE shows the entire app window with all borders and controls and mouse, PotPlayer shows just the video, but has black boxes on the sides in addition to normal letterboxing, and also shows the mouse.

When screensharing, my mouse is invisible to me, but visible to the people watching my screenshare, I've gone and disabled every mention of hardware acceleration in the options. Searching through old/other threads says that there was once an option to always show the cursor, but now there isn't..?

Then share program window instead of screen. Or… you install a cheap plug travel monitor ($100-200) and make that your plug in temporary share screen when needed

Me and my friend have been watching movies over Youtube for the past 2 years and now they always appear as a black screen for the screensharing viewer. Does anyone know what's happening? The last movie we've been able to watch was on 10/24/2020.
